The Grateful Dead x Nike SB Dunk Low “Orange Bear” is a limited edition colorway of the California-based rock band’s collaboration with Nike SB that was released exclusively at FTC Skate Shop. One of three extremely rare and desirable Dunks made in collaboration with the Grateful Dead, this “Orange Bear” design is the rarest of all. It represents the Bay Area thoroughly with its orange-based appearance. The two-toned appearance of the upper displays orange faux fur on the toe, mid-panel, and heel as a reference to the band’s marching bears characters commonly seen on various artworks for Grateful Dead albums and merchandise. The lovable bears reappear on the insole. Tonal suede overlays can be found on the forefoot, eyelets, and heel. A contrasting jagged green Swoosh covers the mid-panel and green Nike embroidery dots the heel. A final detail worth mentioning is the hidden stash pocket located on the inside of the tongue, which displays the band’s “Steal Your Face” skull.
